The platform is also lowering fees, raising withdrawal limits, and improving Bitcoin functionality across the app. Eligible users will see their withdrawal limits increase fivefold, and the app now supports expanded funding options for larger transactions.

Cash App, a core part of Block’s ecosystem, offers a deeply integrated Bitcoin experience within a mainstream financial platform.

The app enables users to receive paychecks in Bitcoin, locate businesses that accept Bitcoin using Bitcoin Map, automatically invest spare change in Bitcoin, and transfer their holdings into self-custody with Bitkey.

The company said it is working to reduce friction between dollars and Bitcoin within the app. Future updates include automatic Bitcoin conversion for deposits, peer-to-peer payments tailored to Bitcoin, and a more seamless experience for users who primarily live on Bitcoin.
